MORE THAN INK.

An expression of identity. A story without words. A mark that lasts forever.

Ryū is a slow studio. We draw first, talk second, and tattoo only when the design has earned its place on your skin. Every session is private, every line intentional.

What we stand for

  • Respect the skin

Placement, flow and how the body moves matter as much as the drawing. We design for years, not for the photograph.

  • Honest black

From fine line to full blackwork, we build tone with patience — no shortcuts, no muddy grey unless it is meant to be there.

  • Quiet luxury

No rush in the chair. Good light, clean tools, and time to breathe between passes. The work should feel considered when you leave.

From first word to healed skin

  1. 01

    Conversation

You share references, placement and pace. We ask until the idea is clear.

  2. 02

    Design

Sketches and adjustments — sometimes twice — until the motif fits your body.

  3. 03

    Sitting

Stencil, then needle. Breaks when you need them. Music low, focus high.

  4. 04

    Aftercare

Clear instructions, check-in if you want it. Healing is part of the craft.

Inside the atelier

Magasinsgatan is a small floor above the city noise: paper sketches on the wall, ink in glass cups, and three chairs that never run on a factory schedule. This demo page cannot book for real — but the rhythm of the studio is true.

“A tattoo should feel inevitable — as if it had always been waiting under the skin.”
